Understanding Salvation
One of the grandest and most lavish weddings the world has ever seen was held in April of 2011 as Prince William married Catherine Middleton. Millions of people around the world watched on television as the future ruler of England was married. In contrast to the great number watching electronically, only about 1,900 people were invited to attend the wedding. The royal wedding invitations alone cost an estimated $32,000. Those who received these invitations were the only ones who were allowed to enter the cathedral and observe the wedding in person.
You may never be selected to receive an invitation to a royal wedding such as that, but the King of Kings has offered a ROYAL invitation to all of His children to enter the pages of His Word and find the principles of wisdom that lead to success in every area of life. This invitation is not just for the famous, rich, or well connected. It’s not just for the people we look up to as “super Christians.” It is extended to all who are willing to hear the call and respond. It is for me, and it is for you.
It’s hard to picture someone being invited to a special event like the royal wedding and declining to attend, yet each day many people refuse to listen to the voice of wisdom. When we seek God’s wisdom through His Word, we are guaranteed to find it. God has not hidden or restricted His truths. They are displayed for us in His Word, which we understand through the work of His Spirit. No one can be truly wise apart from the knowledge and application of the principles and precepts of Scripture.She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors. Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man. O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart. Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.
Proverbs 8:3-6
Salvation is a gift that is made available to those who repent, believe and confess that Jesus is Lord and that He died and rose from the dead to save mankind (Acts 16:31; Romans 10:9-10). This gift cannot be earned through good deeds or by simply being "good" (Ephesians 2:8; 1 Timothy 1:9). It is a matter of faith (acting out on what you believe according to God's Word concerning salvation).

We encourage you first of all to begin reading your Bible and come out to church so that you can learn the Word of God which is the blueprint for our lives here on earth. Becoming a Christian is more than just looking forward to heaven one day. It's the beginning of heaven on earth in the life of the believer as God comes to live and dwell inside you and transform your life from the inside out. You can now arise out of depression, bondage or any other situation and shine brightly with the glory of God on your life...for your light has come! |

I'm Born Again...but what now??
1. Pray Daily! Actually, the Bible says to "pray without ceasing." Meaning you now consult God on every decision. Your life is not your own...you belong to God and He knows how to take care of His kids. If you ask Him, He will not only hear, but answer.
2. Read Your Bible! It's important to "hide the Word in your heart so that you won't sin against God." This is a new life and you've been given an Owner's Manual from God on how to live this new life! Read, study and apply it!
3. Attend Church! The Bible says not to "forsake the assembling of yourselves." It also says that "one can chase 1,000 but two can chase 10,000!" Coming to church is not just a ritual or religious practice, we are coming together to gain strength and experience the anointing that only comes when we are gathered together in unity.
4. Choose to be in Godly Environments! Leave your old life! The Apostle Paul said that he had to forget the things that were behind him and "press toward the mark"...the prize...Christ Jesus! There's a "newness of life" that God has for you and it's your responsibility to walk in it. Begin to do what Jesus would do...follow God in all things.
5. Be Quick to Repent! David was a "man after God's heart." Why? Not because he never sinned or made mistakes...but because he was quick to repent. The Bible says, "though a just man fall 7 times, the Lord will raise him up!" To repent means that you turn away from the sin and turn to God. Ask God to forgive you, receive the forgiveness, forgive yourself!
6. Share the Good News! Tell others about this great salvation you've received. The Bible says we "overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony!"
